Quiet Luxury Is Not Beige
The phrase has been flattened into a colour palette. It was always about construction.

Somewhere between 2022 and now, a set of ideas about how clothes are made became a shorthand for camel knitwear. The confusion is understandable and completely wrong.
Quiet does not mean neutral. It means the garment does not rely on a logo, a print or a silhouette borrowed from a trend cycle to justify its price. A black wool waistcoat with a hand-set armhole is quiet. A beige hoodie with a discreet monogram is not.
The test is simple: remove every visible brand signal. If the piece still explains itself, it belongs in this conversation.
